It would be amazing if we could send and receive  text messages in Pipe Drive from our cell phone.

Hi @Joseph Lee , thank you for your feedback! We've sent it to the team for consideration.

You can send SMS campaigns using Mailigen, which we're currently working on making seamless with Pipedrive, as we are now part of the same company. You can create a free Mailigen trial account here.

If you're looking to receive SMS, I recommend you check out some of the integrations from our marketplace. Here are a few examples:

Hope that helps, have a great week!

It's not the same thing. If I dial from my cell in your system and text from another number it's going to be quite confusing to my contacts/leads. This is why I don't use my phone through Pipedrive right now. It creates issues.

I like how you tag Kixie in to the conversation but not the other phone providers.

Kixie's support & service is garbage.

You should be less bias as an employee of Pipedrive.

Pipedrive badly needs to catch up here. Either integrate sms and build out the rest of the functionality missing from Pipedrive Caller, or build more integrations with 3p voip companies, like RingCentral (most popular in the US, currently a janky browser plugin developed by one guy who works for RC unofficially). Other CRMs like salesmate, Close.io and zendesk sell have SMS built in.

I agree with you. I feel like all their features are 70% intentionally. The scheduler is inferior to calendarly. It is a common theme for them. I doubt it changes

Hi @Jake , thank you for your feedback. SMS with Caller is in our plans, so stay tuned for news about this in the future. Can you let me know some more about what you think is missing from the Caller feature?

Hi @Joseph Lee , I'd like to forward your feedback internally to our team. Can you give me some more details on what in your experience is missing from the Scheduler?

    Hey @Inês Batata ,

    Here's my shortlist:

    • Ability to receive inbound calls (should ring my mobile/external number, but show the active call in pipedrive and record the call.. can play a simple "Transferring call. This call may be recorded." for compliance reasons first if needed)
      • Hold music for when a call is transferring to me, and/or ability to customize the initial greeting and voicemail greeting
    • Ability to receive voicemails (audio recording should be attached to contact and/or deal, and notification via email or task due today assigned to the user who owns the phone number)
    • Ability to port in an existing number for outbound and inbound usage with Caller (maybe this already exists?)
    • Inbound and outbound SMS (send now, or schedule to send later) on the contact record
    • Ability to filter activity on contact's timeline by sms just like calls

I have thoroughly tested over 20 popular CRMs. This feature set would put pipedrive at or ahead of any other CRM on the market with calling. Top ones to look at are salesmate, base/zendesk sell. DM me if you or the product manager would like to discuss more.

Hi @Joseph Lee , thank you for detailing your use case.

You can authenticate more than one phone number per user with our Caller feature, so when you make your call you pick which of those numbers you want to show up on the other person's phone - can be the one you send text messages from.

To clarify why I tagged Kixie's contacts and not the other integrations: when we started the community we reached out to all integration partners to join our Integration Partner group and the folks from Kixie jumped on this most eagerly with their team, became active in the community and reached out to us to let us know that their team is here in the community as members too. I saw that we had that extra information in hand, so I made it easily available in case it was an important factor in your decision as a user. Unfortunately it was not possible to do the same for the other providers, as they haven't given us that information, so I linked their dedicated space here in the community and their page in our Marketplace, which all integrations have.

Kixie is the second best rated phone solution in our Marketplace by real customers rating the tool and recommending it to others. We are very happy to tag and highlight any other tool or employee of an integration in our marketplace when they make themselves known in this community to us so we can also give them a notification when someone might be interested in their service.

In no way do we have a bias towards any particular integration or provider, that's why I made sure to provide the link to the full list of Phone Solutions in our marketplace and highlighted that the list below it was an example of the tools users can find here.

Thank you very much for such detailed feedback, @Jake ! I'm relaying it to the team.

As for the last topic in your suggestions, you can create a custom type of activity for SMS and filter them using that. See here how to do it.

    Have a great week!
