We sell annual subscriptions to educational institutions. We would like to offer multiple years of the subscription. Is there a way to indicate multiple years without just multiplying the quantity by the number of years? For example, we sell faculty and student licenses at different prices. If a school wants 10 faculty license, and 20 student licenses for two years, what is the best way to do that in the products section of a deal? It's not ideal to just double the quantity. Thanks for any feedback!

I believe that pipedrive is working on a renewal type functionality. We do not use the products feature but we do deal in annual and multi year contracts. We do one deal for each annual contract sold. We have a custom deal details field called 'Source' to define where the opportunity came from. Cold call, google, referral, etc. One of the options is renewal. So when we create the second year and subsequent year deals we mark that as a renewal in that deal source field.

Thanks Brad -- and if you do a multi-year contract, do you have products set up for those number of years? Or how do you manage the deal value and product list for the deal for those multi year opportunities?

Nope. three year agreement sale is entered as a deal worth the value of the 1 year sum. Then it's just a renewal after that. Anything in the world can be cancelled at anytime anyway and there is always bankruptcy and refusal to pay. Even though someone agrees to three years its not three years until it's happened. Pipedrive isn't really a total business management system or accounting system. It's about shepherding an opportunity to a closed sale.
