Projects due dates linked to last activities completion, not from the start of the project

Now in projects, you can create a template where you have different activities and project tasks. The issue here is the due dates:

You can only set the predetermined due dates from the start of the project. The issue here is that if you have to wait for your customer (or some third party) to respond / to do something, your whole timeline/due dates go bad.

What I would love to do, is to link the next activity's due date to the completion of the last activity, i.e. activity "contracts sent" has been changed to "done" - Create an activity (or change the due date of the existing activity) 2 days from the completion of "contracts sent"/(last activity).

Now you would have more realistic project management since there are always some hurdles where you have to wait for something to happen.

Hi @sarastich thank you for adding your feedback to the thread.
The updates being worked on for the very near future don’t include changes to Projects. However, our product team has taken your feedback and continues to monitor all feedback regarding this feature. And the more popular a type of request is, the more likely it is to be developed in the future.
