Activity Tasks In Project - Can we create subtasks under 'activity tasks' in templates

We want our team to see a to-do list of tasks and subtasks in their activity section.

While creating a template the only way to subtask items is to use the task option which means we cannot see our todo list of tasks in the activity section

If we create an activity to see it in our activity section - now we cannot subtask meaning we would have to create an activity for every single task.......

Am I missing something or has anyone been able to work out how to get tasks with their subtasks to show in the activities section?

Either the ability to create subtasks attached to an activity task would be ideal OR have a task page showing their task todo list

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

Will

    Hi Will -

You're not missing anything. This is a primary reason why I don't recommend Pipedrive Projects. Because there is no list view for tasks/sub-tasks, it's not really a usable feature.

    Thanks for the reply Liz.

Curious, what do you currently use or suggest for projects?

We want to keep leads/sales/projects/ongoing projects under one roof ideally.

    Hi Will -

For years, Pipedrive Partners like myself would create additional pipelines to manage additional flows (e.g. post-sales). There are some principles you want to follow (e.g. don't move the deal, duplicate it), but it works well and I think it's still a better solution than using Pipedrive Projects. You can't have tasks/sub-tasks in the Deal, but at least you can easily comment and @mention within the deal and it's a UI most users are already familiar with.

Full transparency, my team was using Pipedrive Projects to see if it'd work for Project management. All of our templates are a series of Activities (no tasks/sub-tasks), but we've decided it's time to explore actual PM software (Monday/Asana/ClickUp).

If you want to keep everything under one roof (phenomenal, if it can be done), your options are:

    1. Use Pipedrive Projects with Activities only
    2. Create a Pipeline to manage what you're currently managing in Projects (my preference)

    Best,
