Feature request: Folders in Leads

It would be very helpful for us if there is the options to create our own folders under Leads. Where now there only are folders based on activity or archived, it would be great if we for example under archived could create our own folders so we could organize leads which didn't turn into deals at the moment.

Besides I have a small question, in the Mail tool, mails can be automatically be linked to Open Deals or contact, also to Leads?

Thanks in advance!

If the contact record email matches the related deal, it will auto attach the emails to the deal.

Hi @Raimo Treffers , thank you for your feedback!

I can tell you that we're working to expand the Leads feature's abilities, and two of the things we're working on are customizable labels and filtering (similar to what you have in the List View). These could be ways to help you sort leads that didn't get qualified but that you don't want to get rid of.

Nevertheless, we've forwarded your folder suggestion internally for consideration.

As for your second question, email messages from leads will not link because by definition a lead is not a contact yet, so the interface will give you the two classic options: either link that email message to a contact that already exists in Pipedrive (the lead will not show up as an option) or create a brand new contact (and you'll have a lead and a contact with the same email address, but the email message will be attached to the contat and not the lead).

I feel this might be an interesting use case, though. Can you give me a little more context about what types of situations this might be useful for you, please?

    Hi Inês,

    Thank you for your reaction.

At the moment I'm working with Labels to sort them, and yes that works as well but because I want to give them labels of by which channel they came to us, in which product they can be interested in and ,if they are not qualified at the moment, why not. The list of Labels will get a bit big with all these options, that's why it would be clearer if I could make folders, so the list of labels is not too long and easier to work with.

I think it can be very usefull to be able to link the mails to leads, we really want to keep leads out of the deal funnel, and only ones we're sure there is a possible match with a lead we want them in the deal funnel. So before the moment we want them in the deal funnel we allready had quite some mailcontact and probably a phone call. For me it would be great to be able to have this mailcontact with them in one place, so in Pipedrive, mainly because ones we convert them into the deal funnel all the contact we had with them is immediatly in the profile of this deal. If we now convert a lead into the deal funnel the notes go with this deal, which is great, but if the mails will also be visible in the profile would be even better. Also in case it turns out the lead is not qualified for the moment, but maybe on a later moment you realise now it can be a good match, you immediatly can see how the contact went the first time they showed interest in our company.

If you need any more information or context, I'm happy to explain how we think about it!

That was perfectly clear, thank you @Raimo Treffers ! For now this is not possible, but I've reached out to the team to know if it's in our plans and I'll let you know as soon as I hear back.

In either case, I've also forwarded it as a suggestion for internal consideration.

Hi @Raimo Treffers . We would like to have this out later in the year, but no earlier than September if things go according to plan.

Keep an eye on the Research and Beta Testing channel (join it if you haven't yet), as we scout for users who'd like to try out early versions of new or improved features coming up there.
