tracking business cancelation

As a subscription based software vendor im dissapointed that the Pipedrive system doesnt currently cater for the ability to cease business followings it initial win date to allow the onboring of revnue but tracking of subsequent cancelation. By way of example, allowing users to report the wining of business , track it but then subsequentky show it being removed if a user decides to cancel a subscription.

Hi @Paul Holland !
We've recently rolled out the Recurring Revenue feature, which allows you to create subscriptions in deals and cross-references that information in your reports. I think it might be what you're looking for.
The Recurring revenue growth report will allow you to track the changes made to your recurring revenue over time. The changes will be reflected as a positive or negative monetary amount according to the type of change that has occurred.
The table under the graph will give you a summary of the average payment and total payment broken down by the time grouping chosen.
The growth report will track changes according to the following factors:
- New
Any revenue generated from new subscriptions created in that time frame. - Churn
Any potential revenue lost from subscriptions being canceled. It's important to keep in mind that in Pipedrive, deleting a subscription is different than canceling a subscription and will reflect differently while reporting. - Expansion
Addition to the total revenue generated from a subscription upgrade. Expansion revenue will be reflected in your report when an existing deal subscription is edited in the deal's detail view and the recurring amount is increased. Revenue generated from new subscriptions will not be reflected in this number. - Contraction
Reduction in the total revenue generated from a subscription downgrade. Contraction revenue will be reflected in your report when an existing deal subscription is edited in the deal's detail view and the recurring amount is decreased. Revenue lost from canceled subscriptions will not be reflected in this number. - Net growth
The total net growth compared to the previous time frame. Net growth is calculating by the following: new + expansion - churn - contraction.
Take a look at the tutorial I linked above for the full story and see what you think. Hope it helps!

I've commented on this already but at the risk of repeating myself can't see the point of adding the recurring revenue function without tying it to products as is pretty much useless. It would be great if this was done and would solve lots of issues as completely agree in regards To lost business and currently we've just created a custom field with automation to deal with this.

Thank you for your feedback @Paul Holland , we've made sure to forward it internally and our teams are aware of it. Keep in mind that both Recurring Revenue and Products are features we're still working to improve and expand, so there should be news coming up in the future.
Currently, Recurring Revenue allows you to create subscriptions within your deals and to convert that data into statistics - see here.
