Hi there,
I started automating a few things regarding the Projects AddOn.
In this case it's a simple automation that creates (or should create) an activity for a user (in my testcase - myself).
I have full admin rights, so I was a bit surprised when I saw that the automation (at least the trigger) works but then stops right at creating the activity saying
"Action failed - insufficient authorization/rights.
The user that triggered the automation has not the necessary rights"
...
Again, I have an admin-account with no set restrictions.
The user involved in that automation was also me, no non-admin users involved in my test run.
What could be the reason, that the automation ends in an error?
And who - if not the admin - has the rights to trigger that automation? π

Hi @Janosch Wechsler π
I believe the error might not be as straightforward as that, so it might not be a permission issue!
It can be that via a workflow automation, an activity cannot be connected to deal/lead and project at the same time - manually it can, but I think that via the automation it might cause an error. If that's not the case, then it might be a real issue that will need the Engineering team's intervention.
If this is still happening please reach out to our Support team so they can check this further for you π
