Controlling custom fields

It's great we can restrict whether our users can delete a custom field however we use custom fields for putting some super important information and there is no restriction on them editing the content of the field say if it's a multiple option. What would be great is if there was a permission like other CRM's whereby we could restrict the user from editing the content of the custom fields and lock them.

    Agreed, locked fields (custom and standard) is an important tool for data integrity.

    Any further progress on locked fields? For accuracy of stats and performance reviews, being able to lock deals once completed is very important.

    As far as I'm aware, right now there are no concrete short term plans to make these improvements. Unfortunately with many customers and requests and with limited development resources we need to prioritise and make choices what to deliver first. We will make sure however our team will consider your suggestions but we can never make any promises.

    Would be super important to lock some custom fields. For example, the bookkeping software gives back their internal ID for an organization. No one should be able to change this ID in Pipedrive.

    100% also need to lock down fields so they are not editable! @Inês Batata

    There are only a few people following this conversation. However, this conversation is super important. I am positive if you speak to your other clients as part of their Quarterly conversations that they will agree to this a must have.

    I personally recommend changing to HubSpot or Salesforce.
