Loss of feature in emails, view email in inbox

I believe there has been a loss of an important feature in recent updates. When viewing a person's page, all emails with that person are listed. The triangle on the right still can be clicked to see the full conversation, but in that screen, the option to click and see the email in the inbox is no longer available. This was an important feature, since unless I am mistaken, the inbox view is the only place where the email can be linked to the proper deal (this needs to be done if you have several open deals with a same contact, or if the email precedes the creation of the deal).
