We have the 'Spam Protection' option turned on for each form.

Hi @andynmartin 👋
I've seen similar cases in the past and the fact is that the webforms feature does have a spam protection option (as you showed) but they are protected with reCAPTCHA and this prevents spam bots automated submissions.
If that webform is shared publicly it can happen that someone will send spam. I feel like this is an improvement plan, perhaps there could be keywords or even maybe using AI that would track clear Spam leads that were created and archive them - that's an idea, please make sure to share feedback about the need to further add protection to our webforms in the "ideas and product feedback" section.0 -
Adding onto that, @andynmartin Here are a couple of ideas:
- Honeypot Fields: Add hidden fields that bots fill out but humans don't, allowing you to filter submissions.
- Double Opt-In: Use a double opt-in process to verify legitimate users.
- Form Validation: Strengthen form validation rules to detect and reject spammy inputs.
- Custom Scripts: Deploy custom scripts to monitor and block suspicious activities.
I know that some people have used these before and it worked out for them.

@Andreia Costa thanks. It is possible that someone is sitting and submitting forms manually, but to what end? But we also know that Recaptcha's aren't fully bot-proof.

@Dillon Hill thanks. With the Pipedrive forms are we able to use any of these options? There are 100's of form tools out there and we could of course make our own, but the idea and value proposition of using Pipedrive marketing tools is the deeper integration, automation, tracking, avoiding Zapier, etc.

@Andreia Costa I posted in the Ideas and Product feedback section but haven't seen any useful engagement or anyone from Pipedrive respond.
This is still a big problem for us since because of it, we can't reliably track leads or know where real leads are coming from.0
