Adding custom organization fields into newly created deals

Hello all,

I'd like to add industry and other custom fields into an organization which automatically carry over into a deal, when a new deal is created.

Can this be done?

    Your requirement is possible, but you'll need to use a third-party app like Zapier.

    Alternatively, you can use a workaround within Pipedrive itself by creating a new deal from an organization using custom fields and workflow automation. Here’s how:

    1. Add a Custom Field:
    • Go to your Pipedrive settings and add a custom field to your organization, using a single option type with "Create a new deal" and options "Yes" and "No".

    2. Set Up Workflow Automation:

    • Create a workflow with the following conditions:
      • Trigger: When the field "Create a new deal" is changed to "Yes".
      • Action: Create a new deal.
      • Field Mapping: In the "Create a new deal" action, map all relevant fields from the organization to the new deal record.
      • Update Custom Field: After creating the deal, update the "Create a new deal" field back to "No" to allow future deal creation.

    By following these steps, you can automate the creation of a new deal from an organization, ensuring relevant information is transferred accurately.

    To add on to what Oka mentioned, here's what you could do using 3rd party services like Zapier,, or Pipedream.

    Trigger: Organization Updated
    Action: Search For Deal Associated With Organization
    Action: Update Deal Fields for associate organization
