Unable to display first name and last name fields

Previously, I imported contacts from third-party applications, and all contacts had First Name and Last Name fields. Now, I am trying to manually add a new contact and encountering the following issues:

  1. The First Name and Last Name fields cannot be displayed and filled in the contact card form.
  2. The Name field cannot be hidden (I don't understand the purpose of this field at all).

This looks like a bug. How can it be fixed?

    What you are seeing is expected, as Pipedrive handles contact information differently when it comes to importing versus manual entry.

    When you import contacts, Pipedrive often allows mapping fields from the import file to custom fields or can split a "Name" field into first and last names for better organisation - however, when manually adding a contact, the system expects the "Name" field to be used for the full name. That said, you can reach out to our Support Team mentioning you would like to see both fields on our side, and the team should be able to customise this from the backend.

    When it comes to the "Name" field being a required field for both Persons and Organizations, this is intended to capture the full name of the contact in a single field. That said, this field cannot be hidden because it is essential for identifying the contact within Pipedrive.
