Merging deals based on custom fields

Hi, is there a possibility to create an automation to merge two deals based on data in custom field?

Deal 1 is named: Best Company with custom field "VAT ID" = 123456789

Deal 2 is named: The Best Company with custom field "VAT ID" = 123456789

How do I merge them? The trigger is creating new deal and then check if the value in custom filed is the same in other deals.

    Hello Jirka,

    As our automation cannot search for data within Pipedrive, this would not be possible to achieve with automation at the moment. In addition to that, automations do not have the functionality to merge data. But you can share this as feedback in our Ideas and Product Feedback channel.

    Outside of Pipedrive, you could look into tools like Zapier, which is set to be triggered whenever a deal is created in Pipedrive, and search for other deals based on the custom field, in your case, VAT ID, and if Zapier finds a deal with the same value, you can set it to take action like updating the label, so you can easily identify the duplicates and merge them.
