Workflow and dialer integration to follow up on marketing mailers and for appointment setting

Does anyone have ideas for workflow and integration configs to automate prospecting efficiently for a solo operator consultant?
I've looked at dialers (Phoneburner, others) and have Mailchimp account for marketing and frankly feel overwhelmed by the options. So what could a good budget to mid-level solution look like for a solo consultant making 10-15+ calls per prospect and with anywhere from 50-300 live leads?

Thanks Ines. Question about Leads Inbox: can I add fields? I often have important info at LEAD stage that will become key if it converts to a DEAL. I know I can put most of this in a note. Particularly it might be a cell phone, the company website (which I use in my leads pre-qualification also). Based on what I saw, I can't add these fields to the Leads Inbox. Any suggestions so that the research does not get lost?
Also, I see a title is required for the Lead. I have the person's title but in the LEAD layout it is best to have the company name. So I'd probably put Company Name into the TITLE field.
However, when this converts to a deal it seems like it creates unnecessary manual reformatting to fit with the DEAL / ORG / People formats?
Thanks for your help. I'm stil lchecking the other items.

I would love to use the Caller feature built into Pipedrive but it requires a Professional or Enterprise level across the entire user base in your organization. If you are a solopreneur, it might make sense to go for the expense of Professional for auto-record of calls and easy, click-to-call dialing. I can't afford to put all of my employees who use PipeDrive into the Professional level, so I just use one of the apps in their marketplace called JustCall. It works fine.

Hi Inês ,
I followed the link to Mailigen that you posted above, but it doesn't seem to be available (not even as beta). Can you advise when integrated email capabilities will be generally available please?

@Bart Kohnhorst I'm going to check with the team what are our plans regarding creating custom fields for Leads and will get back to you as soon as I hear back.

Hi @Sue Steckle !
You should be able to create a free trial Mailigen account using this link. Right now the two platforms are still working mostly independently (there's a sync bot that sends contacts from one side to the other).
We're working on merging them as we speak and we do plan to have a beta test later in the year. I can try to see if there's still a free slot, if you're interested? 🙂

Thank you for this feedback @Dave Newmark , I've made sure it reaches our team for consideration.

Hi Ines, I need to move ahead and will use a workaround unless the custom fields in leads in coming soon. Here's what I plan to do:
- Leads are imported from an excel spreadsheet containing: website, org, address, person's name, title, a phone number (usually org), email and some notes (such as company size, other)...
- I will import as follows, unless there's a better way: TITLE = website, org, address, name, phone, email and NOTES will contain the rest. It will require manual work when converting to DEAL but seems like a way to do it.
Any suggestions, before i import a bunch of leads?
Also, it would be nice to have Source info also contain a date added differentiator.

Hi @Bart Kohnhorst . At the moment we don't have a date for when custom fields in leads will be available yet, but it's definitely in our plans. We will absolutely announce it once it goes live.
So in the meantime I think it's best that you use the workaround you suggested, it's a good one while things aren't exactly how we want them to be (and how we know users also get the most out of it).

Thanks for letting me know, @Inês Batata . Lead validation and verification, before further investing to develop it, is different for many orgs. I suspect you'll find a level of customization will often be needed. But in the interim, the Lead Inbox is a great add on - despite the fact that once converted to DEAL it requires quite a bit of manual adjustment by taking Lead Notes and dropping the data into DEAL fields. Appreciate your support. Best, Bart
