I am new to this community and am setting up my system now. Are there any recommendations to get great reporting when you have multiple people working on a deal?

    I haven't come across this scenario since I try to break the deal at the individual level, as and when possible. I would love to hear what others have to say about this though.

    @Boris Tsibelman - Thoughts?

    Im also interested in being able to add more "owners" to deals in order to get them shown in multiple pipes.

    I agree. We might have a sales account manager/BDM handling the sales side, while one of the technical resources are responsible for other aspects of the selling process. Having multiple owners per deal, depending on their function, is important.

    The only way to do it now is to create a custom deal field with the names of the secondary team members. But note that the custom field is not linked to the Pipedrive users - you have to set it up manually. One can then pull deal level reports based on the custom deal field.  One major limitation is that you can not allocate a technical resource at an account level and then pull reports for at all deals/revenue at an account level. This is because insight does not allow reports based on account/organization based custom fields. You have to assign each and every project to an additional team member at a deal level using custom fields. it is a pain, but it works.

    The only issue is you can not have a single clean sales report with revenue showing both the primary account holder and the linked team members using this custom field solution.

    Well, I love the ingenuity of this concept but I really wanted to attach the multiple sales people to get reporting. Otherwise, this is just a complexity that doesn't really do much.

    My scenario is that I own businesses (dance studios) where a lead might come in and speak to the person at the desk. then, they might come take a trial class and get registered by the person at the desk that night. I would like to know that both the first and second person who helped that parent were part of the lead conversion. hmmmmm.....any other thoughts or work arounds or should I just simplify to the admin team as a whole for the conversion? Just wish I could find where there are strong and weak links on my team .
