Automating Lead Assignment Based on Region

I’m looking for advice on setting up an automation in Pipedrive to assign leads to specific sales reps based on their region. I’ve tried configuring workflows, but I’m running into a few challenges.
Here’s what I’m trying to achieve:
- Automatically assign leads from certain regions (e.g., North America, Europe, etc.) to specific team members.
- Ensure that leads are evenly distributed among team members in the same region.
The issue I’m facing:
- I’ve set up a workflow using custom fields for regions, but some leads aren’t being assigned correctly.
- When multiple team members are assigned to a region, the distribution isn’t even—it seems random.
What I’ve tried so far:
- Created a custom field for "Region" and added it to the lead form.
- Set up a workflow to assign leads based on the region selected in the form.
- Tested with dummy leads, but the results are inconsistent.
Additional context:
- We’re using the Professional plan.
- Sales reps are organized into teams, each focusing on specific regions.
- I’m aiming for an automated solution that minimizes manual adjustments.
Has anyone implemented a similar setup successfully? I’d love to hear about your workflows, settings, or any tips to make this process smoother.
