We are transitioning from Salesforce to Pipedrive, and in the company's commercial operation, there are fields that should be available for user viewing. However, only certain specific profiles should have access to edit them. Is this possible in Pipedrive?

    Hi Leandro,

Yes, it’s definitely possible to control which fields users can view and edit in Pipedrive.

You can make fields visible to everyone but restrict editing rights to specific profiles. This is done using "read-only fields," which are available on the Professional plan and above. It's a good way to ensure that users can see the information they need without being able to change it unless they're supposed to.

Pipedrive also lets you create custom permission sets, which are really useful for tailoring access based on user roles. You can define exactly what each user or group can do, whether it's editing deals, leads, or custom fields.

    Hey,

Pipedrive’s custom field editing and permission granularity are nowhere near that of Salesforce.

In Pipedrive, you have two options: either allow everyone to edit a field or create specific permission groups, assign users to them, and grant control that way. See how below.
