Automation cache new fields values and users

When new variables in fields or users are added in Pipedrive, the new values are not picked up by the automations — only the ID is sent via outgoing webhooks.
This seems to be a recent change (in the past few weeks or months), and it’s quite frustrating. I reported this to support, and the only quick fix they suggested is to manually update the variables in the automations every time a new value is added.
I manage 4 organizations with multiple automations that export data when a deal is closed, added, etc. It’s simply not feasible to keep updating the automation variables every time a new value is introduced.
Is anyone else running into this issue?
