I operate Pipedrive as a language school
Our business is operating by lessons (online appointments)
Right now we use Cronhooks for scheduling but im thinking to move over to Pipedrive..

I can see in Pipedrive's custom fields there is either date or time.. what if i have 12 types of appointments and i want each one to run at specific date and specific time?
do i need to add 24 fields? 1 for date and second for time?

There is no chance to have 1 field (date & time) ?
Like that i can run automation and send a webhook 1 hour before the meeting

Thanks

    Hi @noa ! 🤩

Definitely, you don't need to create 24 different custom fields. Instead of that you can explore Activities for tracking appointments?

    • Custom fields are better suited for storing more static information about a Deal or Contact (e.g., 'Student Level', 'Preferred Language', 'Enrolment Date')
    • Activities could be used for Each Lesson: Every scheduled lesson should be created as an 'Activity' in Pipedrive.

TL;DR: When you create an Activity, you can set a Due Date and a Due Time. This is your combined date and time field for that specific scheduled event. Activities are linked to Deals and Contacts (persons = the student), or Organisations ( = B2B course). Besides default activity types you also customise your Activity types to match your lesson types, i.e. instead of just 'Meeting' or 'Call', you can own create own ones.

    Hope that helps 💡
