Hi community!

We’re starting this week with an exciting update: following a successful beta testing period, the Team Inbox feature is rolling out to users on both the Power and Enterprise plans. This will be a gradual release with general availability expected by the end of June 2025.

Setting up a Team Inbox is restricted to Global Admin users, who’ll be able to:

  • Sync an email account to be used as the Team Inbox
  • Manage all Team Inbox settings
  • Reconfigure a personal email account to be used as the Team Inbox account, or vice versa

After the Team Inbox is set up, any user added to the Team Inbox can:

  • Access all Team Inbox communication in Pipedrive
  • Assign emails to team members
  • Add or update the shared Team Inbox signature

I tried to test as an early bird, but password was requested. Can we use standard shared emails which are without specific passwords as a team mailbox? what is the maximum number of mailboxes which can be used? (for example we have ~10 shared mailboxes for each region / team)

Very excited for this update. If there’s a way for our instance to see it sooner, that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Justina Uleviciene the team inbox sync has the same requirements as the personal email sync. So, a shared email account you can sync to your personal inbox can also be synced as a Team Inbox account. However, the same email account can’t be used on both a personal inbox and Team Inbox at the same time.

Hi Manuel, this is very good news. One question, is this feature going to be available only to Power and Professional plans? Or this will be eventually rolled out to all other plans?

@Ricardo Baroni Rodrigues the Team Inbox feature is specific to the Power and Enterprise plans.

We have a Team inbox that is not receiving that many mails - So it would be great to get a notification, when there is new mail - Did anybody here solve that in pipedrive?

    So far… loving it!
I've been waiting for Team Email accounts for years, so I'm thrilled to finally see it in action—even if it’s still in beta. It’s already made a noticeable difference in how we work, and I think it’s going to be a game-changer for a lot of teams.

That said, I’ve got a few wishlist items—and I promise I’m not trying to get whoolped over the head for asking! 😅

    1. Let us pay for additional shared inboxes without forcing a full upgrade.
Not every team member needs the same access. Person A might need three inboxes (team + two personal), while Person B might only need the team inbox. Making everyone upgrade just to accommodate one person’s needs gets expensive fast—and honestly, it causes more friction than it solves.
    2. Please consider teams with multiple brands.
Our company may be rare, but we’re definitely not unique in running multiple brands under one roof. I’d love to have more than one shared team email account to separate communications by brand, while still being able to manage them within Pipedrive.
    3. View/edit permissions would be a dream.
We really need granular permission settings—some team members should be able to view a shared inbox, while others might need to respond or manage it. Right now it feels like an all-or-nothing setup.

In short, I’m a fan. Just hoping the next iteration brings more flexibility without nickel-and-diming us every step of the way. And hey—if you want feedback, I’ve got plenty more where that came from. 😉
