Enable/Disable Email threads
Hi,
first of all. I know this article https://support.pipedrive.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004281665-How-are-emails-threaded-in-Pipedrive-
and I totally disagree. It may be helpful to see the conversation but it should be able to disable email threads for all incoming emails or at least to manually split emails from a thread.

Thanks for writing here. There's currently a project ongoing to improve our email sync feature. It's a larger/lengthy project but you could reach out to our support team and perhaps join the BETA testing. Threading is also handled differently on this update.

We're also experiencing issues with email sync and would be interested in trying the beta testing as a last ditch effort before we leave pipedrive..

Same here. I'd like to be part of BETA testing if it's available because I would be great to ungroup emails and to have the choice to keep things away from conversation view so that I can pick and choose which emails should be "linked". Not all my threads should appear in Pipedrive.

This is defenitely a MUST. Auto-syncing is great, but we need a possibility to edit it manually if there was created a mess, e.g. by grouping outreach emails to several leads with the same subject line to one deal. This is a real mess..!

It would be really helpful to have an option to disconnect a signle message from a thread, because in my case customers often create a new deal by anwering an old e-mail and the whole thread is then assigned to a deal.

We receive all our inquires from our website, so they all have the same originator, and pipedrive systematically groups them all under the same conversation. It would be great to deactivate the "conversation view" similarly to Gmail.
To fix the issue and use the in-built email functionality of pipedrive we are considering putting in place a whole SMTP server that rebuilds all email messages. Such a hassle.

So I'm guessing by the number of people still making this comment that it's still not resolved from a year ago. Wonder if there's an update from Pipedrive on this because this makes so many unnecessary emails tag to files that just clog up the activities tab so it's hard to trace older communications you might need to locate.

Any update here? Would be great to have a way to disconnect a message from a thread because customers often create new deals by continuing an old thread.

Same here. We just switched to Pipedrive and not being able to handle email well (the number one medium for customer communication) is a real bummer.
Not only does threading prevent an email from being moved to a follow up deal, it also attaches forwarded emails to it - potentially exposing sensitive information from that email to anyone who can see that deal.
This all really makes me rethink my decision to use Pipedrive.
Does anyone have a workaround for this threading "feature"?

@Mike van der Valk This seems to be a long standing issue, a quick search here returns almost 400 hits.
Are there any plans to fix this or would it be best to move away from Pipedrive?
