How to get Customer lifetime value (CLV)?
Hi guys,
Is there any easy way to get the customer lifetime value on PipeDrive?
I want to see how much each client is paying per year.
I know PipeDrive has subscription revenue now but that's for recurring projects. We mostly do one-off projects and I wanted to calculate what's the average clients are paying every year.
Thank you!

Hi @Nirmal G.
Currently the only way to do this would be to create a filter in for example the deal list view where you filter out all WON deals where ORGANIZATION name is .... name of your org. Also add the WON TIME filter options there for this year for example.
Then on the top of the list you'd see the total value and you could also export the data if you'd wish. Not ideal but it works.Nonetheless, I'll pass on your suggestion for future reporting updates!

Thanks @Mike van der Valk . That's a very long way but I know it works.

Hey @Mike van der Valk ,
There's a deal summary card on the organization record. It has the total amount of all won deals linked to the org. Is there a way to display this value on the Organization report by chance? Just to have multiple organization records showing LTVs on a single screen.
Thanks.

Not right now but great idea @Nick Tikhomirov sharing that with the team!

Any thoughts when this feature could be in use?

I work at charity and would also like to be able to see CLV for each contact (donor), as most of our deals (donations) come from single individuals. Thank you in advance for addressing/following up on this!

I also requested this a while ago: https://community.pipedrive.com/post/exporting-customer-lifetime-value-5f35bdf01ba22c1db9ca8ed2 It seems Pipedrive tracks the data but you can't display it as a field in the filter view.

This request should be in the top priority of the dev team!
Not being able to have a Dashboard with the total revenue by customer is not acceptable on any CRM.
The solution cannot be extracting to excel..

Hi @Mike van der Valk ! Do you have any updates on this feature? In November 2022 still relevant and needed.

Hi @Adina Faiman and everyone else. Since we're planning for next year, I don't know what their priority is at the moment but I've asked our Product manager on the Reporting/Insights feature to take a look at this request.

Hi @Adina Faiman @Sven Amann_76110!
Thank you for your sharing your feedback with us 🙏
As Mike said, we are in the road-mapping process now, and I will be happy to share more details at the beginning of 2023 once we are done with planning.
Still, I can share that cross-entity reports (like "Contacts --> Deals --> Revenue") are the top priority for us in 2023. And the reason behind it is the loads of requests we have for this functionality from our dear customers 😊 That's why we are addressing now a couple of technical challenges, so we are able to offer you the LTV reports in 2023.
I will keep you posted on this topic)

Hey guys, I've been a PD user since 2015 and believe the total revenue feature being nonexistent is an absolute no-go for a Sales CRM with a billion-dollar valuation. A company field showing an already existing value of the total sum of all deals or a selected amount based on the date range should not take 3 1/2 years to implement.
What's the timeline status of this feature?

Hi @Clemens
You can find the total revenue per customer via the Insights reporting. You can for example set up a deal performance report and filter for won deals only for a specific customer. I hope it helps ;)

Thanks @Mike van der Valk. I was already able to get a report for one customer but with 1000th of customers in the database that's clearly not what you want to spend your time with ;-)
What seems to be the problem with implementing this option over the past years? You take the total revenue of all deals from the company deal overview, add a field called "total revenue" in the "Contacts" tab to filter when looking at all companies, and sort by this field to get a top-to-bottom list of total revenue.

Hi @Clemens gotcha, thanks for clarifying what you were after. I've passed on this suggestion to our team and hope it's something we can prioritise down the line, thanks for sharing!

Hi @Mike van der Valk,
Any update on providing a sales leaderboard by client or an option to pull an easy total revenue by client somehow from the CRM? It's essential and I can't wrap my head around the fact that this has been requested already years ago and probably prior and was not implemented by now. I work with you guys since 2015 and that's nearly 10 years and its still missing ;-)
Any update and timeline on this would be super helpful!0 -
Hi @Clemens
In the first part of this year Pipedrive added the Combined data reports to the Insights feature.
With this you can filter out what I believe to be exactly what you are looking for.You can for example set up a deal performance report and in the filter specify specific contact persons or organizations you are looking for. On the table below the reports you can add fields from the person or organization as well so that you can see a more detailed overview as well.
The product reporting has also gotten a big revamp this year so in case you are working with products and subscriptions in Pipedrive you can also visualize those.
If you open up a specific client you can also in their detail view see the total value of deals you've won with that client.
I hope I understood you correct and if there's something missing let me know :)

@Mike van der Valk You explained some data, but right now we don't have the possibility to calcul LVT of a customer.
Like all deals together / nbr of deal = Average Deal
Average Deal * Repeat Deals * Active Years = Classic LVT
I don't even talk about LVT actualized
Also it could be great to add a layer like CAC = Cost per acquisition or Time invested on a graphic like LVT

Has anyone found a way around calculating the lifespan of a customer? We also do not work with subscriptions, but individual orders. We need to know the average time of any customer between the first time they placed an order and the last time.
Generally, it would be nice if users do not need to work around this. CLV is an essential metric, as your Pipedrive Blog itself states: pipedrive com /en/blog/customer-lifetime-valueSadly, the blog gives no indication that this metric is not accessible on Pipedrive.1 -
Good call out. I wrote to our teams behind the products and insights and asked how we can achieve this.
It's not everything you are looking for at the moment yet but one way to see the total value of a customer is to create a deal performance report and then view by the report by organisation/contact person and then measure by deal value. But then you get the total of each customer "value". How much in total these customers have brought in revenue.
We are also experimenting in another area with an AI assistant that could run calculations based on your data so you can ask it the answers. Nonetheless, I realise it's not ideal and will talk to our teams to hopefully make this easier in the future.

Hi @Mike van der Valk I will write you back with my ideas today. I will be back :) thanks.
