Customizing Product Data Fields

I see that there is some flexibility to customizing product data fields, but is there a way to customize the default fields in any way, shape or form?  For my line of work, I am looking to be able to remove unused data fields, specifically Unit and Tax.  I apologize in advance if this has been asked and answered.  Hope to hear back from you guys soon!

    Hi Mike, I would just like to strongly second this feature. I also have products that have different field requirements, so a way to assign certain fields to a certain category of product would also be useful. And then a way to make only a certain category of product appear in specific pipelines. Cheers

    Hi @Lewis Hall thanks for the tag. I've passed on the feedback but as mentioned before there are unfortunately no near term development plans for it. I'll do my best to highlight though that this is a highly anticipated feature.
