Feature suggestion: Standard greeting
I would love to have Pipedrive let me define an opening line that automatically gets inserted into every new mail and reply. Something like
"Hallo [salutation] [lastname],"
That would save me a lot of time and would also prevent me from spelling the clients name wrong ;-)

Oh, really? Is there a default template that gets used automatically for every mail? I haven't found that yet - but it would be exactly what I need.

I am not sure if you can have a default template. But you can name this template starting with 00 so it is always easy to pick from the list.

Like @Amit Sarda said, you can do this using our email templates. You can either create new onew from scratch or edit the predefined ones to include the default greeting at the top of every one of them. Learn more about this here. 💪

A template would be a work-around, thats true. But it would be as impractical as making the signature a mail template. I think, if there is something that is needed in every single mail and replay, it would make sense to define it as automatic header - just like you can define an automatic signature.0 -

That's not possible at the moment @Volker Klärchen , so right now a template would be your best bet.
I've taken the chance to send your suggestion internally to our team so they can take it into consideration for future developments.
