Starting a task automated 1 day (or 2 days or a week) before another task

I'm still looking for a way to have a task scheduled 1 day (or 2 or 3 days or a week) before an already scheduled appointment.

To give a bit more of an idea; in my voicecontact with a customer I schedule an appointment but before this appointment actually happens I need to perform some other tasks, for instance looking things up.

The thing I'm looking for is that at the moment I schedule an appointment there automaticly be scheduled a task to look things up the day before this appointment.

I understand that it is possibly to apply such a task by hand but I want to have it automated.

    Hi @Erik Bangert !

At the moment our automations don't have the option to create an activity with a due date earlier than the current date (only later), so my advice would be to make activity A (the "before" activity) the trigger that generates activity B ("appointment day" activity). You can even create a certain template for the Notes you want to make sure to take during the appointment and include them in that activity's notes.

That being said, I'm still going to send your suggestion to our team, maybe they'll consider it for future developments! 🙂

    Hi Inês,

Thanks for your reply and your suggestion. Problem is that this is not going to work because the appointment is leading.

I would like it if you send it to your team as a future request

@Erik Bangert I understand that, but seeing as right now our automations don't have that option my solution is to create the activity manually the moment you set up the appointment, and the automation will set up the appointment for you. Hope that makes sense.

Hello! Being able to schedule a task automatically X days before a set date... (and the date being a date field), is extremely powerful. has this been developed already? @Inês Batata
