How to distinguish same organization from different countries when searching, attaching to deal?





Hi there,
we are currently dealing with an issue, how to distinguish organizations from different countries. When you are searching or attaching the organization from different countries, you cannot see any detail that would help you to choose, which one is the right one. Example
Unilever from UK
Unilever from CZ
We did it in way that we named the organization [UK] Unilever, however this is limiting as you cannot use it to some dynamic field in email for example.
Is there a way to see more details while searching/ attaching the organization?

Yes, That is different. This problem exist also with persons with same name. There should be additional atached information to the name of company and name of contact to distingnish them. I would propose you to write to customer support. Sometimes in fe w months they come with solutions in updates.

We have tried to solve this by putting more detail in the descriptive name of the organisation so it is clear in the Search list drop down.
Eg
Roche HQ Paris
Roche HQ Brussels
Roche HQ New York
Roche Lyons - France
Roche Nice - France
Roche San Jose - USA
We would then name the deal as above and include the main product name
Roche San Jose - USA - Spectrometer
and attach the products from the Product tab to the deal so it shows the number of products and value.
Probably not the best way I am sure and no doubt we will come unstuck, but that is how we are doing it now.
The biggest issue we have with Products is that there is no way to enter a Product Code field value for Variations... So all variations of the product show up with the same Product Code which is hopeless for reporting/sorting.... Pipedrive please note!

Same issue for me, but till now Pipedrive didn't show interest in that topic. Issue is in multiple screens where is lack of information to identify search results or list entries

@Richard Salisbury your solution with including the location in the name of the Org is just what I was going to suggest. @Martin Pecha I recommend you use this method, even though it has the downside of dynamic fields in emails. Maybe you can find a way to include that data in the Org name that is more "esthetic" and the recipient won't find unusual?
As for Richard's question about Product Code Field Value, I'd do something similar and include the code in the Product Variation name:
