Is PD website visitor tracking good for Asia users?

My understanding is that when web visitors visit our website, PD matches it with the IP based on PD database of company IPs. Is your IP database primarily US- focused?
Is it any good for companies like us based in Asia/ Hong Kong and Singapore?
The thing is that G.A tells me there were 10 unique visitors to our site for a specific country yet PD only registered 1 visitor based on the IP. Thank you.

Hi @Vincent Chow,
Thank you for the questions. When you’re comparing the visits you see in Google Analytics with the visitors seen in Web Visitors, there are 2 reasons why they differ:
1. We filter out the visitors that can’t be tracked down to companies (internet service providers, such as Comcast, Verizon, crawlers, bots, etc).
2. We also group visits that come from the same source. That way 5 visits from the same company will show up as one visitor that has 5 visits in the visit details. Is your IP database primarily US- focused? Is it any good for companies like us based in Asia/ Hong Kong and Singapore?
Web Visitors add-on is powered by Leadfeeder. Their database works best in traffic coming from US/Canada +Europe + Australia, but Singapore, South Korea & Japan are also pretty good. China and some other Asian countries are harder because of the way they distribute local IP databases.
But it also depends on the industry, the type of business you have and many other factors. So the best way to find out how well it works for your specific case is to install the script and try out Web Visitors - we have a free 14-day trial
