Mandatory Fields

Hi,

Would be helpful if we set mandatory fields or requirement for any custom field we create. Say for instance, tagging a custom field for each required information a Sales person won't be able to move a deal from 1 stage to another if the mandatory fields are not filled out.

Your thoughts?

    This is already possible in Pipedrive. You can use the required fields or the important fields. In the second case they can still make changes but it nudges them to enter the info. In the first case you can actually block a deal from progressing.

    Hi @Mike van der Valk thank you for letting me know. Not sure though that the required fields can be activated using Advanced license.

    Hi @Joceejae Buscato unfortunately it's only on Professional plan and higher. You can however use the workflow automation feature to set up a workaround.

    You can for example set that every time a deal is moved to a specific stage and missing data in specific fields it gets moved back to the stage where it came from and send the owner of the deal an email with the reason why. Could work already for your team.
