Generating a Quote Number

Hi All,

Any ideas on if Pipedrive can generate a quote number? 

or does everyone still run with a quote register along with Pipedrive

    How are you generating Quotes right now? What tool are you using?

    Its just a quote number we are looking to generate rather than have a separate document for this.

    @Darren Stafrace you could create a custom field where you store the quote nr and link this to your deals.

    Hi, I'm also interested in this

    We can create a custom field for quote number, but we would then need this field to auto-generate when we move a deal to the 'Quoting' stage - increasing by 1 each time. But I can't see a way to generate this in a workflow. 

    We only need quote numbers for 1 of 3 pipelines and not every deal makes it to Quote stage...

    Otherwise, the only way I can see is to keep a separate quote register, simply for the quote number generation... which isn't ideal

     

    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi @Kate Walker 

    You could have it auto populated via an automation from the Deal ID but this isn't always increasing by 1 since there's also other deals with ID's in between not making it to that stage.

    @Boris Tsibelman any amazing automation solutions for this?

    How do you auto pop the DealID into a custom field?

    I am also interested in this function. 

    At the moment I create a 'deal' then quote via Pandadoc, but the challenge is the automated quote number sequencing. As I have to keep a record of each quote number, not via Pipedrive. 

    It would be useful if we could have an automated quote number for each time I create a deal or a quote, then use that quote number to follow through when I create an invoice with Xero. 

    Any ideas?
