Pipedrive Sales Docs automation

I finally discovered what exactly is planned with the new Documents implementation and am very happy this is already much further along than I expected!

But since we have some specific tasks we would like to do with this feature, here's some early feedback:

  • Too many manual steps, more automation! (i.e. an option to automatically make it a signable doc with the contact person and editor instead of manually adding that each time, automatically choose between different templates according to information from the deal so you don't have to manually choose the template each time, give an option to send out that Doc via Mail with one simple button, etc.)
  • We need the option to put specific fields into the Doc, that the customer has to fill out - not only a signature
  • It would be really awesome, if there (longterm ofc) would be a function that with one click of a button (or phase of the Pipeline) Pipedrive would automatically pick a template according to a custom data field, make it a signable doc between the editor and contact from pipedrive and send out that document (including fields for the customer to fill out) via Mail including a custom message. That is asking for a lot, I know, but that is what we currently built using Pipedrive togheter with Zapier and PandaDoc. If Pipedrive could replace that functionality, my entire company with 20+ Accounts would switch to the more expensive plan in an instant.

    I second the above requests.  I'd also like to be able to save which signatures are needed as part of the template.  Our docs only require the customer signature, not also the sales rep or call center employee.  So if we could just save that info in the template, then we wouldn't have to request signatures and delete our own names before sending the remaining single signature (just the recipient) to the customer.

    But most importantly, we need the ability to trigger workflows or actions immediately and automatically as soon as a doc is signed (even if it's just to mark a deal as done).  Preferably, this would also be saved in the template so that certain actions only happen for certain documents, but even if all documents had a blanket action to mark whatever deal they're associated with as won, we could make that work.  We just need something actionable there because otherwise we can't do anything unless we pay people to constantly go through all sent docs and check which ones have been signed (and then send followups based on how long it's been out, advance to onboarding if it is signed, etc.).  We just lose so many deals while customers have signed and are waiting for us to deliver and we haven't yet figured out that they've signed because there's no automation possible for that.  This is a huge deal to us and will determine if we're able to stay with Pipedrive or not since Hubspot does this already (we don't like other parts of Hubspot as much as Pipedrive, but this one feature is becoming make or break for us).

    @Warrior Rising Intake  There is a way to automate this using Zapier and PandaDoc, but not Pipedrive itself currently. Still, if it's that pressing, you might want to check that out. If you have any questions as to how to automate using those Apps, I'll be glad to help. ;)
