In creating a report on Activities, is there no way to filter based on the "subject" of the activity

For example, I'd like to create a report that shows how many activities we've done with the subject "onboarding" in it, but can't seem to find that filter option in the report filters.

    Hey @Eileen Romito ,

One way is to create an activity type specifically for that. Doing this you can then create a filter and therefore in reports for activity use this activity type as a condition. Like this, you will pick only this type of activity for your report.

    I hope I could help.

    Cheers,

    Alex

I understand your suggestion. Unfortunately this won't work for us as all calendar events sync from our calendar to Pipedrive as one designated activity type. So basically all of our calendar events will be the same activity. I want to find only certain calendar events, based on the subject of the activity/calendar event.

Would it be difficult to add "Subject" as one of the possible report filters?

Oh no, that's a pity that you can't use another activity type :(

Unfortunately, there is no option to use the subject as a condition to filter what you need.

You can use the activity type that you have now and generate one report where you could see when "onboarding" is the subject but it won't give you a total, you will need to check manually for that, not ideal I guess.

My example here shows how many times that activity type "Partie de Golf" was used. In this case, 5 times but only 4 had the subject as "First Pitch"

I know is manual work but perhaps it's helpful.

    Hi @Eileen Romito

To add on to @Alex Stueber his good suggestions. Another workaround can also be create a filter on the activity list based on subjects of them. You can then if you wish also export all activities to a spreadsheet and filter/report further there.
