Measuring leads added to pipe - any ideas how?

Hi Everyone,
A key metric for us is: What percentage of leads (from Leads Inbox) enter our sales pipeline?
Pipedrive support have sadly said they don't have a way to measure this, but are planning to add Lead reports options to Insights.
So...I thought to turn to the community! Does anyone have a hack to measure this in Pipedrive?
Thanks
Stephen

Hi @Stephen !
While at the moment we don't offer Leads Insights (yet), I suggest you take a look at the Analytics integrations available in our marketplace, as they allow you to extract data from Pipedrive and create other types of reports.
In the meantime, here’s how to get notified about what’s coming down the line:
- 🔮 Follow What's Planned to to know what we're currently working on and what’s to come.
- 🌟 Follow What’s New and don’t miss any new release announcements.
- 🧪 Join our Research and Beta Testing channel for the chance to try out early versions and give us your opinion about new and improved features before they go live.

Yea, I have the same issue. For a CRM pipedrive has terrible analytic capabilities. Im not sure why, because the purpose of a CRM is to organize, manage, and measure activity; allowing you to then increase productivity. It baffles me that there isn't more priority on analytic features.

Thank you for the comment!
Vladimir from Pipedrive management team is here to help.
Leads are not prioritised to be shown in Insights because there are other projects (reports that are being built and added to Insights) that are pending.
However, there are Activity, email, revenue, forecast, Deal analytical tools.
The thinking while building it was that Deals are a primary indicator of how your business is performing and what stages f.e. you are struggling with the most.
As you can see in Insights there is also a possibility to configure the report according to fields relevant to your business.
But, I would be glad to get more information on which reports you want to see added to Insights.
Thank you for understanding,
Kind regards,
Vladimir

I read a Pipedrive sales guide - it explained how there are only 4 metrics that matter in sales. One of these metrics was "the percentage of your leads that turn into deals."
I can't see a way to measure this - perhaps marketing & product team need to catch up on this,

Does Pipedrive view the entire pipeline as the deal stage?
- If it does a way you could track new leads is by adding a section titled "New Leads" to the deals tab
I'm always open to reading something new or watching a video so any information helps.

You can also create another pipeline called leads and track it through that pipeline. Really what we are trying to accomplish and understand is the marketing portion of the funnel
