Customize the Deal card

Hi,

In the Pipeline view (the one with boxes/cards as opposed to the list view) a useful feature would be the ability to customise what is displayed in these boxes. Better still, customise this according to a given Pipeline.

The boxes include Deal Title, Organisation, Value and Status; whereas for our purposes it would make more sense to be able to display e.g. the Deal Contact Person's name there; or hide the value.

Currently to achieve this we resort to using an Automation that copies the contact person's name to the Deal Title, which is redundant (as we already do have a field containing that) and prone to causing commotion when we update things.

Additionally, for someone who'd work with a large number of deals for which the above fields are similar/identical - differing mostly by custom fields - the Pipeline view seems not useful at all.

We use Zapier to receive invoice copies from our e-commerce store (Bigcommerce Widget) and then compose the deal titles with ecom order number, cust name and location (state/country).  ... Works for us because we control how the data is populated when deal is auto created via zapier.  .. If you are not automating the creation of deals via a third party app, then this anecdote is not going to help.  I think the issue with performing rules based logic on fields within PD requires a pretty sophisticated rules engine which I don't see coming any time soon.

Nancy, thank you for the comment. We are doing a similar thing with titles. However what I mean in the post is that we wouldn't have to do any of it if we could change in the preferences what fields get to be displayed in the boxes - similarly to how you can customize email templates etc

I came here to post a suggestion and found it already described absolutely perfectly by Darek above. So - I second the request :)

I came here to look for a solution to this as well. @Mike van der Valk is there any way to customize the deal cards based on the pipeline they are in?

I'm thinking of an implementation similar to that found in Trello.   (I'm not in any way endorsing or recommending Trello  .. just that their rather limited and simplistic product has configurable cards that can be made to display different user-defined-selected fields)

I want to also say that this is absolutely necessary. Came here looking for a information on how to customize info on Deal cards. So I also second what Darek Młodnicki said.

Second this. The amount of info on the ticket is too limiting. Even if one can only tag the agent/s that are working on the deals.

I would love to see this feature. Deal cards don't contain enough information!
Another way you could manage this is by a preview feature when hovering over the deal card.
It takes so much time to have to click into the card or to add addtional info to the heading on the card.

I would love to be able to see the contact name on the card. I think about people when I think about deals, not brand names. This feature would be great.

We have another use-case for the same feature.  We would like to display "Next Step" in the card so when we're doing a pipeline review with mgmt, it is clear what the next step in a deal is; if it's scheduled for 3 weeks from today (for example), we don't need to click into the deal and discuss it; we can move on to the next one.

I am in the project beta tester and they realized kanban view last week.

It has customizable deal cards and is totally awesome. Would love to see this in the main product.

    Anyone listening?

This is a necessary feature. I can't understand why there's been no response?

Yes, please copy HubSpot's functionality here!  Or ClickUp does a really nice job of it to.  It doesn't need to be everything but primary contact, close date, last contacted, a few basics would be really helpful!

I would also be happy to have the possibility to customize the info on the deal card as well as to give them a background colour.

100% this is so needed. When we're working on deals, we are mostly working with peoples names, not deal name. So being able to add the customers name to the deal card would be so helpful! Kind of blown away this doesn't exist.

We also would really like to see this.

    Any updates on a timeline?

  • Love to see this. Not sure why its so hard? Even if it is limited to x amount of data. Color coding would be awesome as well.
