Honest reply needed from PD tream about Leads
Dear all,
Our sales process rely heavily on separating leads from opportunities, and we are using the leads functionality in PD. Today I tried my first lead import into PD:
- Didn't get thru because we cannot import custom fields (like campaign, source, etc)
- Ok, I will import them anyway and mass update these custom fields once imported. Oops, NO MASS UPDATE for leads except for title, owner and labels.
- Ok, let's update them by hand then, one by one. BTW, NO CUSTOM SEARCH in leads to help me with that. I can only search by label (not importable) and by owner
- Since it took me a long time to do this, let's export all my leads, just in case. Wait a moment LEADS CANNOT BE EXPORTED.
I don't intend to be picky or push this for my own personal interest. I just want you to realize how ridiculously difficult is to work with leads in PD.
I just need to know if this is going somewhere or not in the coming weeks. And I understand that this is a "new feature", but it's been already how long, 7-8 months?

This is Michal, a PM behind the Leads functionality. Firstly, let me say that I understand your frustration, and we hear you and several others asking for these features. All of what you refer to in your post is already on our roadmap for this year. The ability to export leads, import custom fields, and bulk edit them should come in Q2. Regarding the search functionality, that is already supported in Pipedrive in the top search bar.
I hope you'll bear with us as we're working hard to bring this functionality to you, our users.
P.S. There are many exciting additional updates are coming to Leads this year, so stay tuned!
