Request for the Ability to create 'Leads' using pipedrive automations and to also create deals from
A new 'leads' section has randomly appeared in our pipedrive. But to make use of this we need to be able to use automations.
Currently, automations can only act on activities, persons, deals and not these leads.
When we get leads, it creates a person (Zapier does this), then, based on the lead source information a deal or activity may be created by a pipedrive automation.
Obviously, we'd like to utilise or at least try this new leads section before new leads become deals. :)
This seems like an obvious feature to include and would have been better to complete before releasing this lead section, as currently it is pretty useless and we can't remove it.

Looks like there have been lots of calls for this - currently my new leads are new contacts, then pipedrive automations take over based on labels.

Any progress @Michal Smetana ? Is a pretty pointless menu item until this is complete. I know it works with leadbooster, and manually. But who wants to add leads manually!

Hi @Keith Greywood , thanks for sharing your feedback! The leads suport for workflow automations are still planned and on our roadmap. There are many more lead-generation tools coming that should make it easier and more automated to add new leads. In addition, just last week, we've added the support for Leads API, which you can start using already to perform actions, including the creation of new leads. Thanks Michal. I have pinged Zapier to see if they can use this, as no dev team here at the moment.
