Custom fields - Organizations < > Deals

Hi there! We are a B2B SaaS early stage startup. 

We use 'custom fields' on 'Organization' in our prospecting process. Then we (hopefully) create 'Deals' directly from 'Organization' when we advance in discussion, demo etc.

Now I would like to create personalized reports on deals based on custom fields that I created on 'Organization'. 

It would be very useful for us!

    As far as I pushed, you can't use customised fields in reports (insights), and that sucks !

    The way for me to bypass it (annoying how we have to bypass so many basic things) is to do a specific search of person/company/deal with specific filters and export the results so I can add that export to my report on Google Data Studio with pre-created graphs and tables.

    It is counter productive, but so far the only way to get it done from my experience.

    Custom fields could only be used in insights if:

    1. If the custom field is not a free form. It should be a single option or multi-option field. 
    2. It should be a deal custom field. Sadly, you can't use org custom fields for deals.

    Victor Vuillier, I totally agree with you. There is no reason why we should not be able to use organization custom fields as a filter for deals. This is such a basic feature that is missing and is causing a lot of inefficiencies if we have to export our data to other dashboard tools.  I love Pipedrive, but this is one of my biggest frustrations with it.

    Indeed @Daniel Steyn , that is frustrating.

    I wanted to be able to show the source (under contact file) for ongoing deals.

    That is my biggest pain at the moment, and have to export all data to be used on another platform.
