Why is there no URL/website field type?

Why is there no URL/website field type? And why is there no default website field for organizations? Am I missing something?

You can create a text type of custom field under the organization for this. The URL will automatically become hyperlinked when filled in.

Thanks, yeah, that’s what I have done. My worry is that there is no validation—is that an issue for anyone?

Given that you now limit custom fields based on account level, I would like to make a feature request that a website field be added as a default field in Organization and/or Contact.

LEAD / CUSTOMER URL FIELD should ABSOLUTELY be included in standard field ASAP!

Thinking actually switching out Pipedrive because of this major deficiency!

100% agree. most data resources validate companies by URL. This should not be custom field and certainly not a text field.

BUG: a url typed in a custom field is recognised as a LINK by the browser, but not by the APP.
