Duplicate Entry of Information from Lead Module to Organization Module

Sharing my experience trying to utilize the lead module. Finding that much of the information entered into the Lead module must then be "re-entered" under the organizational module ie. company name, phone number, address, etc.  Maybe it all converts if the lead is moved into a deal/pipeline category.  Still learning. Anyone else find entry duplication a hinderance?
