Automation with new Activity frustration

Right now when I complete an activity, the pop up for a new future activity is always for the current day. I wish we could somehow change this to a new date automatically instead of the current date. I created a new automation template that automatically sets an activity 4 weeks away, but now I wind up with two activities. The help chat told me this can not be changed. UGH!

  • Until a better solution comes along, hit the Escape key when the popup comes up.

Or mark activities as done in Bulk.

I asked the same question yesterday, the answer was that it's not possible at this time.

    Hi @Brian Cress @Amit Sarda @Chris Rozon

We're happy to inform you that we now have a solution to disable the activity pop-up. Admins on the account will have the option to turn the pop-up off always or only on specific pipelines. Please note, this setting is available only if the company has an active workflow automation.

We have enabled this setting on your company account and you can modify it by visiting Company settings > Activities. By default, it is enabled always.

Along with the Pipeline, can you also add the option to select:

    • Users
    • Activities

This has been long due and although I don't believe in disabling this, I believe users should have the choice to disable it whenever the situation demands.

    Great job, and thank you!

    Thanks @Amit Sarda
Can you please elaborate a bit more? What do you mean by an option to select "users" and "activities"?

You see how you can select certain pipelines to allow the popups for? Similarly, the popups setting should allow selecting users, user groups, and activities.

    Example:

    • Show popups after activity completion only for members A, B and not for C, D.
    • Show popups after activity completion only for calls but not for emails.

    Hope this is clear now.

Thank you for elaborating and it definitely helps us understand the use cases better.
