Automate copying org field data to deal field
We market our product to three distinct segments, which we track at both the Org and the Deal level. I would like to create an automation that copies the "Segment" field from the Org and puts it into the "Segment" field of the Deal. I'm stumped. Is it possible?

Thanks Boris. I haven't worked with Zapier yet, but if that's the tool to use, I'll give it a shot.
Can anyone confirm that there is no way to copy data from one field to another within the Pipedrive Workflow Automation toolset?

Pipedrive: I think this is a reasonable thing to add -- the ability to automate copying and pasting field data from one record to another.

It's not as easy as it sounds. An Org or a Person can have many associated deals and, unless there is a search deal option, you can't make the updates to a 'specific deal'.

Hi there,
Just want to confirm the relevance of this issue. Hopefully this should be possible soon. It is also helpful when wanting to do any insights report, which only allows to filter by deal fields. But if I want to separate on the basis of an organisation field (e.g. organisation size, or region) that's not possible - therefore, a workaround would be to copy the organisation field to a new deal field with the same name for instance.

I am trying to do this as well! Would be really helpful. Ran into problems when trying to use a custom Organization field for a deals report. Couldn't do that so was trying to do a work around by creating a similar custom deal field and then set up automation to publish the value Organization value in it. But automation won't allow it either...
