Note-taking process in Pipedrive app makes no sense

Hello,

I use the PD app to make calls while on the go.

DURING my calls, I take notes. If the call lasts 20mn, and the person I talk to tells me figures, names, dates, etc. I want to write them down immediately.

However, the Pipedrive app prompts me for notes for the call I'm on only AFTER I've hung up.

I end up taking notes in a different app and then pasting them into PD after the call is done (great...).

What do other PD users think?

@Roadmap Tech , @Inês Batata and PD team: is this meant to be that way?

Thanks!

Is this on a PC or mobile? I work on a PC and type in notes as I do the call.

I have the pre call information all stored in as an activity and then type (in the yellow box) as we talk.  At the end of the call I do CTL+A then CTL+C, Mark it as done and save. then I CTRL+V to paste all the notes in the new activity and set it for the date,

The only frustrating thing is if your PC freezes and the box closes and you lose all notes. First thing I do is copy the text in case of this

    Hi Tony,

I was taking about the mobile app.

On PC you're more free to switch windows etc while on a call so it's not as big a deal. However, what you said is indeed an issue (albeit unrelated to the one I was taking about). I've already psoted about it: https://community.pipedrive.com/post/add-a-are-you-sure-you-want-to-close-this-pop-up-question-before-the-phone---601ab8ca13b1ff32991749a2

    Hello @Vincent Teplitxky
Thank you so much for your feedback about our Mobile App.
I totally understand your point, and it would be useful to have notes available during the call as you have while using the Web App version.
I passed the feedback internally to our Mobile App Team, but I would like to ask you what version you are using - Android or iOS.

I was giving this feedback a thought in hopes of finding a good workaround to suggest to you. Not sure if this is a great workaround, but I hope it can help you somehow. I have an iPhone, so the video is recorded showing the iOS app version.

I hope you have a great day.

    Hi Vera,

Thank you for taking the time to respond and to record the video! I really appreciate it.

    I'm using an Android.

The workaround you suggest involves taking notes in another app. This is already what I'm doing. What I'm saying is, it's a shame that making a call from PD's mobile app doesn't cause the note-taking window to appear when the call starts. Having it appear at the end is too late and entails copy-pasting. Waste of time.

Thanks for forwarding this idea to the development team. Regards

    Hey Vincent,

My pleasure. The feedback was passed on your behalf. :)
The workaround was actually using Pipedrive notes inside the Deal (or the contact) but I understand it will take you an extra step to open the notes from details view.

Thank you once again for sharing.
