Hello Pipedrivers. We are curious if any of you are using Pipedrive to track your company's participation in events. For example, we are looking to build an Event Pipeline and create Deals related to specific events. Then usher this Deal through the stages of submitting an abstract, attendee list set, registering our staff, etc etc. I'd like to hear if any of you have had success with this! Thanks

Josh, you query is one of the first that came to my mind too as I started using Pipedrive. And you got not a single response after posting this almost 2 years ago??? The doubts I have about Pipedrive doing what a CRM tool should do are increasing by the day....

Hi @Hermen_at_planblue, no, I never got community input on this, but we did end up building a pipeline for Event participant management..... but then internally our marketing team never used it. But the information is there and I could see Pipedrive being a great tool for doing this, there just hasn't been drive from anyone on our team to make it happen.

Hi @Josh Monifi - I just came on here. I'm looking for a way to track various elements of business development other than a project (Lead to Deal). One would be Conferences/Expos, the other would be tracking BD efforts with certain organizations/types. I would love to be able to do this from one database but having additional pipelines intrigued me. What caveats have you learned?

This sounds like something you can easily do in Pipedrive! Since it all pulls from one Database. You could just set up a pipeline with approporiate stages for each of your scenarios-- Conferences, BD Efforts, etc.

    Hi @Josh Monifi

Yes, I got that far. However, the stages seem to correspond to the forms of the Deals and Leads. So I am getting way more information per each step than I need. If I look at customizing it, the application tells me that it will delete that field everywhere in Pipedrive (all Pipelines). I don't want to do that, obviously. I'm a bit lost of what to do.

Sounds like you may need to be editing the Pipeline stages an not the fields themselves. I suggest reaching out to Pipedrive support, they are really helpful!
