Pipedrive & Microsoft Access Connection

Is it possible to connect Pipedrive with an existing Microsoft Access system which contains existing data? We will need to use the two softwares together to carry out all of the functions we require.
Does anyone have any experience with this or with connecting the APIs please?
I have looked on the Developers' Corner but would like to hear if anyone has any experience with this please.
