Pipeline to Pipeline conversion

With the limited functionality of leads (compared to deals), we are setting up a Marketing/SDR Pipeline in deals. Now we want to track the conversion rate from that pipeline to the actual sales pipeline in insights - anyone found a workaround?

    Hi Klaas!

    There are several ways you can track that data. Best way that we like to do it is, through workflow automation. 

    Every time that a lead goes through the prospecting pipeline and the lead goes into won, we automatically duplicate the deal and add it into our sales pipeline. After that you can filter out insights based on wins in Leads pipeline and specific stages.

    That sounds feasible. Do you only add deals that way to the sales pipeline?
    What about manually created deals, do you start them in the leads pipeline then?
