Is it possible to set up a workflow automation with "email received" as trigger?

Desired workflow trigger:

When email received on any deal that is in X status and/or Y pipeline,

do Z

The action could be:

  • send notification
  • update deal status (eg move automatically to a more active status)
  • whatever else

    Hi Raina!

Currently, this type of trigger is not possible in our Workflow Automations. What I am thinking as a workaround might be creating a Deal filter (Deal last email received is today) that can be used as a trigger in Zapier. So when a new email is received, Zap could trigger and do needed changes.

That seems like a complicated workaround!

I tried setting up a Zap using deal filters for a different workaround earlier this week and couldn't get it to work properly.

It's not. You can try setting it up with Make/Integromat too. It is a little more complex than Zapier, but more powerful too.
