Remove default to assign task to self when creating activity

Is there a way to have an activity not be automatically assigned to me?  When I create an activity it usually needs to be assigned to another team member, but the default is my name and working through so many activities I am accidentally not reassigning the task to others.

    Hey Peter!

    By default, you cant change it. 

    One way to just work around this is by using specific "Activity" types for automation.

    Trigger - Activity is created
    Condition -  IF activity type is this "Assign to John" and the Activity owner is Peter Sandberg
    Action - Update activity fields Owner - John
