Lost deals Insight report - comments missing



We have recently changed the way we report lost deals in Pipedrive from using custom fields to using the Pipedrive default Lost Reason and Comments fields. The Comments field, which is where ALL the value is, cannot be reported on. I can't be pulled into an Insight report. This data is added to a deal as a note. Please add the Comments field as reportable.

This is great feedback and I agree that this is something that should AT LEAST be implemented into Pipedrive with "Choose columns" in the List view of Deals. It would 100% be better with reporting, but at a bare minimum with columns.
Sadly, I don't really have a workaround to offer except manual work. You could filter out a specific losing reason and then open the deals one by one to read them, or if you don't add a specific reason at all and just write a comment, then the comment will be shown in the List view as "Lost Reason"

Hi - logically reading lost deals one by one isn't possible. I've noticed that the comments are added to deals as notes however you can't seem to run activity reports on notes. This would have been the easiest solution.

That's true.
You can test out leaving the "Lost Reason" empty and only adding in the comment.
Then filter deals and in the List View, add in "Lost Reason" field.
It should show comment, if no "Lost Reason" is applied0 -

I understand that this is not a fix, but might help out in some cases.
