Make it easier to merge contact records

The current Merge Duplicates functions are very difficult to find, as they are hidden under ... menus. There should be some kind of alerts panel (I guess that is a separate idea) and I should receive an alert when the system finds duplicates and then be able to follow a link to merge those.

Also, when I multi-select records in the Contacts screen and it shows me the bulk edit panel, there should also be a button that allows me to merge the selected records (I realise this may be difficult if I'm selecting loads, but perhaps it could only show if I select 2, or maybe 3 records).

    Hi @Mark Hazeldine

    I'm happy to say that what you're looking for already exists. 😉

    When entering a contact manually, Pipedrive automatically checks for any potential duplicates, which it displays so you can choose if you want to use the contact you already have or if you want to override the system and create an additional contact (example here).

    You can also access Merge Duplicates through the Detail View of any person or organization contact that has been flagged as a potential duplicate item.

    The Merge Duplicates feature may also be accessed in either the List View or Timeline View of your Contacts tab in Pipedrive, by clicking the ... button found in the top-right.

    Ines, thank you. Yes I have seen that screen before, but does it show after the contact has been added? For example, if I ignore it, and then go back to the contact at a later date, does it still suggest the duplicate exists or does it stop checking once it's been created? The manual method on the top right is fine, but because it's hidden under a menu, I forgot it was there and had to message your support desk to be reminded of it.

    Also, my suggestion of being able to merge from the bulk list is still valid and not addressed by your reply.

    help!  we have duplicate contacts - how do i combine them (as a non admin user) so there is only one.  And, once merged, will liked items (emails/activities/deals) move as well?
