How to perform detailed (per SKU) sales analysis on Pipedrive....or...when will Pipedrive allocate s

Why doesn't Pipedrive allow you to analyze specific SKU sales per organization?   Or analyze which organizations order a specific SKU the most and in what quantities/values?

They have the relational database with all the bits of data, yet I can only look at complete deals that a product was involved in.  Doesn't help with granular analysis.  And I've asked so many times and the answer is always the same.

What sales analysis options of this type does Pipedrive offer, or when will Pipedrive allocate some resources to develop more detailed sales analysis?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hi @Jon Tapper , thank you for your feedback!

To make sure I understood you correctly, by SKU you're referring to Stock Keeping Units for tracking inventory, for example, is that correct? This would be related with our Products feature and the Products you add to Deals in Pipedrive, right?

Let me know so I'm sure we're talking about the same thing :)

Hi Ines, thank you SO MUCH for your response.  Yes , I think you have it correct.

For example...let's say I sell orange, red, and blue Products.  All of my Deals have some or all of these Products in them.  Let's say that after a year, I want to see who purchased the most orange products (units and value), so I can try to sell them more products that are like the orange ones.   Or at least recognize my biggest purchasers with a box of donuts or something. :-)

Right now, I can look in the Reports and see now many total orange, red, and blue products I sold in a given timeframe.  The system only shows me all the Deals that orange products were part of...which means that I have to go into every individual Deal shown, click the Products link, and then pull the data related to the orange products.  What if I have hundreds of Deals?

Much better would be if I could get the system to give me a report of only the orange products and it would give me a report that gave the Organization, Deal Date, and Units/Value of the orange Products.

If Pipedrive is built on a relational database then couldn't a multitude of reporting options be offered, based on the selected values input by the user?  What if I wanted to see my sales for just orange and blue products?  Even more complicated via the current situation.  If Pipedrive is a sales tool they why can't they give us better post-sales analysis so we can customize our sales to the products that are working for that individual Organization?

Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing more.

    Hi @Jon Tapper ,

Thank you for the feedback and detail description of your problem!

Because of problems like this we started to build new customizable reporting tool in Pipedrive called Insights (will will be the only reporting tool in Pipedrive soon). The idea behind is to provide diverse sales metrics to our customers, so not only Deal phase related reports will be available, but also other aspects of sales like Lead, Organization, Products and so on. We managed to add Deal related reports and Activities are on the way.

I can tell you that Products is one of the most asked request for Insights and we are definitely taking that into consideration. This is already planned, it's just a matter of time. Our goal right now is to bring all the existing report types to Insights, so we can deprecate other reporting tools  and then start adding more diverse reporting types to it (and one of them is Product).

Thanks again for your feedback and let me know if by any chance you do not yet have access to the Insights tool.

Thank you for the response and I hope you get Products into the Insights as soon as possible. Effective sales are based on good data!
