My sales team spend most of their time trying to make an introductory connection with leads by phone. If they're successful, they'll record details and move the lead into a new stage.
They're not successful if the caller doesn't answer / the number is incorrect
Are there any automations whereby ...
1) If the first call is 'no answer / voicemail' then send a canned-response "I tried to call you" and create a 'Call' activity for the next business day
2) If the 3rd call is still a 'no answer / voicemail' then send canned-response "I keep trying to call you" and create a 'Call' activity for the next business day
If this isn't possible, could we perhaps set an automation of "if deal has been in the 'uncontacted' stage for 7 days then send an email?"
Martin Pavion You can do options 1) or 2) using automations, but you'll have to do some manual work to help the automation recognize the call outcome, like for example including it in the activity name. You can create email templates for these canned answers and use them in your automation. Example here: http://sharing.pipedrive.com/0iv2vZ/fgK6fI9XRI
Keep in mind that you'll need to manually link this activity to a Deal, if that's the case.
For the 3rd option, unfortunately at the time our automations can't count how long a deal has been in a stage, but what you can do is create an automation based of the "Deal matches filter" condition in the trigger, use Rotting as a trigger condition for that particular stage, and create a specific filter in the list view for that rotting condition: https://support.pipedrive.com/hc/en-us/articles/206760949-The-Rotting-Feature
Good news for you, I created an automation for your use-cases in 5 minutes using Triggers in Outplay.
First usecase Step 1 - I created a trigger for when a call is logged and the call outcome was No Answer. In case you were wondering, you can call from inside Outplay.
Step 2 - Then I created an action, where an SMS task is created with a message 'I tried to call you' that will remind you in 5 minutes after the call, to send an sms to the prospect.
Step 3 - Finally, I created a followup action of a call after one day.
This is what the actions look like, after there is no call answered -
For second use-case, I used a similar trigger in a sequence (design your own outreach in detail).
Step 1 - Create a Sequence with three calls.
Step 2 - Modify your trigger to work for the sequence you just created.
Hope this answer helps you.
There is a lot more you can automate with Outplay, I will be happy to tell you in detail.
